  • Producing spoken texts for a familiar audience, specifically informationbased texts (e.g. short explanations, eye witness reports, proposals, presentations, debates, interviews)
  • producing narrative- based, dramatic and interpretive texts for a familiar audience, such as accounts of own experiences, monologues, dialogues, performance of poetry and interpretations of written, spoken and media texts
  • Examining and experimenting with the aesthetic qualities of language, e.g. in reading poetry aloud
  • Using talk in a range of collaborative activities, specifically during the inquiry process (i.e. problem-solving situations, action research, classroom dramatizations related to literature)
