Submit your work

General Guidelines

Thank you for considering Literacy Today for your contribution. We don’t want writers to feel restricted by genre labels so if you are unsure if your work fits, you can contact us at admin@literacytoday.ca.

Submit only work that has not been previously published, in print or online.
Please tell us which category your work is targeting.
Pieces up to 2500 words.
Please send only one submission per category.
We do not publish the same writer more than twice a year.
We respond to all submissions by email. On average, our response time is between two weeks and one month.
A panel of ELA specialists will select, proofread and format pieces to be published.
We encourage an open, diverse and rich space for sharing, but do not pay contributors.
